The first incident was in Naqara where a shop caught fire. Police say they also received a report that the Macuata Muslim League Mosque was on fire and a team was deployed however the fire was already put out by a neighbour. The Divisional Crime Officer North and a team from CID Labasa have been deployed to assist with the investigations.

So far, the government has distributed around 18,881 groceries and essential items packs to families in targeted lockdown and home isolation. The distribution team also delivered 787 household packs yesterday to families in home isolation in the Lami, Suva, Nasinu, Nausori, Sigatoka, Nadi and Lautoka areas.

According to police, a report was received that a shop located in Naqara was on fire whereby Police and NFA officials attended to the scene. Another report was received that the Macuata Muslim League Mosque was on fire whereby a team was deployed however the fire was already put out by a neighbour.
